[PHOTOS] UDA endorses DP Ruto as its 2022 flagbearer

UDA National delegates conference (NDC) has officially endorsed Deputy President William Ruto as the party’s presidential candidate in the 2022 polls.
The DP is expected to battle it out with Azimio la Umoja Movement presidential candidate Raila Odinga among other presidential contenders in the presidential duel.
“To our partners and opponents, we are prepared for you,” Ruto said during his address in Kasarani.
“I’m determined to give you a campaign you will be proud of and a win for our party.”
The DP said it has been an honour serving Kenyans in that capacity, having been the first elected DP under the new constitution.
“I will forever be grateful to my friend the President for this opportunity,” Ruto said.
Ruto said that he has always discharged his duties faithfully and at no time did he fail to deliver on any task he was assigned by his boss Uhuru Kenyatta.
The event was attended by key political figures, who included Amani National Congress Leader Musalia Mudavadi,Ford Kenya Leader Moses Wetangula, The Service party leader Mwangi Kiunjuri, Chama cha Kazi party leader Moses Kuria, Safina presidential candidate Jimmy Wanjigi and Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo.
Others were UDA allied politicians who included governors Jackson Mandago (Uasin Gishu), Anne Waiguru (Kirinyaga) and ,Kahiga Mutahi (Nyeri).
