Ashun Wu claimed a four stroke victory at the #MagicalKenyaOpen after carding a brilliant six under par 65 on the final day. Starting the day four shots behind the leader, Wu produced seven birdies to make history as the first Asian player to win the event.

“It’s a very good feeling today to win a championship. I was playing very good and made seven birdies so all went well and I am happy to play in Kenya.”
“I had a good finish on number 10, I told myself that I am going to keep playing and try to hit a couple of birdies.
My short game was also good today and saved me a couple of pars. Putting was good and I made birdies on 17 and 18.”

Kenyan teenage star Njoroge Kibugu endured a tough final day at Muthaiga posting six over par 77. Three bogeys on the front nine followed by a double bogey on the tenth put paid to his hopes of a strong finish. His total score was +2.

The final day of @KenyaOpenGolf is underway at @MuthaigaGC. Kenyan golfing sensation Njoroge Kibugu teed off this morning at 9:48am. The 18 year old is currently on four under and a solid final round will help his quest for a top ten finish.

Overnight leader Shubhankar Sharma had a day to forget when he carded four over par 75 on Saturday. Bogeys on the 2nd, 7th, 11th and 12th and a double bogey on 17th saw Sharma relinquish top spot. He is now eight shots behind the leader.

Ewen Ferguson is the new leader at the @kenyaopen after a brilliant five under par 66 on Saturday took his total to 14 under. Sweden’s Marcus Kinhult and Ashun Wu of China are joint second-four shots behind the 25 year old Scot.
