A police couple has been found dead in their house in Trans Nzoia.
The bodies of Constable Abel Wandari and his wife Dorcus Chebet were found lying in a pool of blood inside their house.
Constables Wandari and Chebet are said to have been involved in a domestic brawl before one killed the other, and ended his/her life.
Neighbours said that Chebet, who is attached to Kiminini police station visited her husband Wandari, attached to Kiungani police station afew hours ago.
They added that the two locked themselves in the house with their one-year-old girl child.
“Later we heard three gunshots from the police line houses. The other officers rushed to the house to establish what was happening only to find the man with a chest gun wound and the lady having a forehead gun wound,” a neighbor who didn’t want to be mentioned said.
It is also alleged that the Chebet might have shot her husband following a domestic quarrel.
Nzoia county commander Jecinter Wesonga said the incident was very unfortunate.
“Today as a police force we are mourning the death of very young officers below the age of 28 who have decided to take their lives,” she said.
