Jota, Salah and Alexander-Arnold’s goals ensured Liverpool hold on the EPL second position.
It was a sixth straight victory for Liverpool.
The Reds stay second but move one point behind leaders Manchester City on 40 points while Chelsea dropped two points against Everton. They remain in 3rd position with 38 points drawing 1-1.
Mohamed Salah also equalled Jamie Vardy’s record of scoring or assisting in 15 consecutive Premier League matches.
This inspired Liverpool’s 3-1 comeback win against Newcastle United.
Newcastle took the lead on seven minutes when former Reds midfielder Jonjo Shelvey picked up Thiago’s clearance and hit a stunning 25-yard strike beyond Alisson’s reach.
Diogo Jota levelled for Liverpool on 21 minutes, burying the rebound after his initial header from Sadio Mane’s cross had been brilliantly saved by Martin Dubravka.
Liverpool turned the match on its head four minutes later when Salah fired home his 15th goal of the season after Dubravka had parried Mane’s shot.
Liverpool could have added further goals after the break but Dubravka denied both Mane and Jota in quick succession.
A record 2,000th top-flight win for the Reds was secured in style by Trent Alexander-Arnold, who took a touch before rifling an unstoppable rising shot from distance into the top corner.
