Murdered Moi University medical student Ivy Wangechi received death threats from the main suspect
Two witnesses told the Eldoret High Court that the texts were sent by the murder suspect Naftali Kinuthia.
However, they add that Wangechi failed to inform the police that her life was in danger.
The witnesses who appeared in court asked not to be named. They were two female friends and former schoolmates of Ivy.
The witnesses read some of the text messages allegedly sent to Justice Stephen Githinji, who is hearing the murder trial against Kinuthia.
Kinuthia has denied killing Wangechi on April 9, 2019, outside the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in broad daylight.
Kinuthia allegedly hacked her with an axe and stabbed her.
