Stop speculations on Ruto’s chief of staff death, family says

The family of the late Chief of Staff at the Office of the Deputy President William Ruto, Ken Osinde, has asked Kenyans to avoid speculations.

They said that Osinde, 59, died at a Nairobi Hospital on Friday, after a surgery.

“The family request the avoidance of speculations on the cause of the death of Ken Osinde and privacy during this trying times,” the family said in a statement.

He had been admitted at a Nairobi hospital with an undisclosed illness.

“My Office has lost one of its key officers. Ambassador Ken Nyauncho Osinde was a good leader with robust management and problem-solving skills,” Ruto said.

“As our Chief of Staff, he was hardworking, diligent, broad thinker and a master of human resources.”

Osinde’s condition deteriorated and was moved to the ICU and on Thursday.

“The family would like to thank all Kenyans that have sent messages of condolences following untimely demise of Ken at Nairobi hospital,” the family said.
