Azimio la Umoja: Mama Ida to hand over Raila to Kenyans

The family of ODM leader Raila Odinga will hand over the former opposition leader to Kenyans at 5 PM to Kenya.
It is part of the mega-events scheduled today during the Azimio la Umoja convention.
Raila’s wife Mama Ida will also bless the former Prime Minister so that he can officially start the 2022 political activities.
The program and documents seen by Igonji media showed that Raila will also unveil regional representatives during the event.
“He will unveil a new pentagon/NASA like outfit where he parades leaders from different regions,” an insider said.
Though the list was not public by the time of going to press sources close to Raila confirmed that several leaders will be appointed by Raila to lead regional campaigns.

They include Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya (Western), Former Gatanga Mp Peter Kenneth (Central) and Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho (Coast) among others.
One Kenya Alliance (OKA) chief snubbed Raila’s big day as the former Prime Minister’s relationship with some of the alliance principles deteriorates.

ANC party boss Musalia Mudavadi said he was engaged somewhere but described Raila as a worthy competitor.
“I have just received an official invitation to Azimio la Umoja Convention. As noted herein, the invitation was addressed in my capacity as ANC Party Leader and not OKA Principal,” Musalia said.
“Regrettably, I will not be able to attend because of personal engagements.”
Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka is in South Sudan on an official visit.
Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetang’ula also confirmed on Thursday that he will skip the event.
On Thursday Raila inspected the Kasarani Stadium ahead of the Azimio la Umoja convention today Friday.
