RUTO: UDA nominations will be free and fair

Deputy President William Ruto has said that UDA nominations will be free and fair.
The DP urged the UDA rivals to fight fair and square during the party nominations.
“I want to assure you the people will decide who will be given which ticket. But I emphasise our UDA party will have free, fair, democratic and verifiable nominations, and it is the people who will decide,” Ruto declared.
The Deputy President was speaking in Kirinyaga, Nyandarwa and Embu counties during the weekend tour to drum up support for the UDA support.
“Fellow leaders, I want to respectfully ask you to be peaceful, let us say no to chaos, we are a peaceful party,” Ruto said.
He called on leaders to promote peace and unity in the coming polls. He also called on them to work hard towards improving the lives of millions of Kenyans.
“Leaders must join hands and foster peaceful coexistence among Kenyans to diminish constraints to achieving our country’s development goals,” Ruto said.
“We must endeavour to lead by example, and talk boldly about the ills of hate, division and ethnicity in the society. That way, we will have a more united and transformed Kenya.”
