No Corona death reported in the last 24 hours-Kagwe

Kenya has not recorded any death in the last 24 hours after the covid 19 outbreak early last year.
The Health CS Mutahi Kagwe added on Sunday that the country’s fatalities remain at 5,316.
Kagwe said that 26 patients are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 12 of whom are on ventilatory support and 14 on supplemental oxygen.
“Kenya recorded 21 new cases of Covid-19, bringing the country’s caseload to 254,297 from a sample size of 2,709 recording a positivity rate of 0.8 per cent,” Kagwe has said. He briefed the media on the Covid 19 pandemic at Afya House.
“The cumulative tests stand at 2,770,062.”
The CS said that 391 patients are currently admitted to various health facilities countrywide. An additional, 1,031 people are under the Home-Based Isolation and Care program.
He added that 112 patients are separately on supplemental oxygen while two patients are in the High Dependency Unit (HDU).
12 patients have recovered from Covid-19 making total recoveries 247,645 of whom 200,054 are from the Home-Based Care and Isolation program, while 47,591 are from various health facilities countrywide.
