Kenyans should be allowed to elect their leaders, OKA leaders tell Uhuru

One Kenya Alliance (OKA) wants Kenyans to elect their president.
OKA leaders Musalia Mudavadi (ANC), Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper) and Gideon Moi (Kanu) said that no one should impose a leader on Kenyans.

They added that allowing Kenyans to choose their leaders empowers them to decide on how they should be governed.
“Equally, the people of Kenya should be given a chance to decide on the leader they want through their vote. They should not have a leader imposed on them,” Musalia said.

They said that democracy was important in building the nation by ensuring that the right policies are in place.
The leaders called on Kenyans to remain united and build the country.

“Our people are incredibly amazing; that even in the face of the challenges bedevilling our country, we agree that there are certain fundamental values like peace, love, unity and equality that we must always hold dear,” Gideon said.
They called on parliament to give the IEBC more money to enable them to do a second round of voter registration, and prepare well for the 2022 elections.
“We want everyone to take part in the coming polls so that they can decide how they are governed,” Kalonzo said.
