Eliud Kipchoge Named World Best Athlete

Kenya’s Eliud Kipchoge has been named the best male athlete of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
The World Marathon Record Holder was handed the gong by the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC), at the Awards Gala held in Crete, Greece.
“It is an honour to win the ANOC Award for the Best Male Athlete at the Tokyo Olympics,” Kipchoge said.
“With so many beautiful performances by so many athletes, I am proud to be the recipient of this award.”
Eliud was awarded his marathon gold medal at the postponed Games that were held in Tokyo, Japan on July-August 2021.
He successfully defended the gold medal he won in Rio Da Janeiro, Brazil during the 2016 Olympics.
